Golden Rules + Flako + Reginald Omas Mamode IV

A match made in heaven, or somewhere like it – when London-born Paul White's psychedelic, jazzy productions met the seamless vocals of Florida's Eric Biddines, Golden Rules was created.

White's productions are consistently diverse in style, tempo and mood, consequently diverting their debut album Golden Ticket from any trace of monotony as each song harbours its own distinct style. It's Biddines' quirky, Outkast-esque vocals which effortlessly transition between rapping and singing that make the album an “admission into a place of comfort and freedom”.

Deservedly receiving regular love from the likes of independent music champions BBC 6 Music and crowned “flawless” by Mixmag, Soundcrash are proud to let this dynamic and highly talented duo guide you through a night of live experimental Hip-Hop like no other at Shapes, Hackney Wick on Friday 3rd June.

Support on the night comes from Flako (Apollo/R&S, Blue Note, Project Mooncircle). Whilst his original work stemmed from his love of instrumental Hip-Hop, Flako's live shows have expanded to combine live instrumentation, synthesisers and his own vocals to accommodate his ever-growing talent and musical expression.

REGINALD OMAS MAMODE IV (22a) will also be providing support with some of the wonkiest broken beats and elegantly mangled Jazz.

Clap! Clap! Mo Kolours + Anchorsong + Branko

We are excited to announce a night packed with some the finest tropical beats from around the globe. Expect pounding exotic rhythms and and good times from one of the finest intercontinental line-ups imaginable!

Topping the lineup is Italy’s brightest talent Clap! Clap! Who’s unique global rhythms owe as much debt to the Inuit tribes of Alaska as they do the Staccato footwork of Chicago and West African percussion. Cristiano’s music features traditional Italian folk rhythms and melodies mixed with a global harvest of found-sounds smashed through an electronic beat machine mindstate.

Next up is Mo Kolours whose generous and endlessly creative talent has always exhibited exotic tendencies. And, as with his mesmerising live show, Mo Kolours doesn’t just give us a glimpse of the path less travelled but also offers us the fruits of his labours along the way.

Joining them is Anchorsong who has become globally recognised for his unique live shows, which many people have described as “like watching a painter drawing on a white canvas”, as he creates electronic music completely live using a sampler and a keyboard, right in front of the audience. While he mainly performs solo, he frequently augments this setup with a string quartet, for a truly spellbinding show.

Last up is João Barbosa AKA Branko who first became known on the International scene as the driving creative force in Buraka som Sistema, the worldwide phenomenon whose releases helped create a new attitude towards global sounds. The seminal collective is responsible for reshaping dance music culture and spawning a myriad of sub-genres that shaped the Global Club Music scene and were championed by the producer’s label Enchufada.

Max Cooper (DJ) + Guy Andrews (LIVE) + Aiden Doherty (DJ)

Having sold out both Village underground with his spellbinding live set ‘Emergence’ and Corsica Studios for a massive all night long stint behind the decks Max Cooper will be returning to London to play SHAPES… in full surround sound.

This unique show will give the audience a chance to be immersed in a unique full surround sound experience as Max takes his sound set into a groundbreaking realm, in east London’s number one warehouse space.

Max Cooper has developed a reputation for effortlessly being able to walk the line between emotive dance floor experimentation and flawlessly created warped soundscapes. His Dj sets echo the many styles and influences that he combines so uniquely in his own productions, effortlessly veering from the straighter end of techno into the more beat orientated and twisted sounds of experimental electronica. His ability to craft a set has been widely praised and Max’s BBC R1 Essential Mix was recently named Dancing Astronaut’s no 1 mix of 2015.

Supporting Max with a live performance is Guy Andrews, a London based musician and music producer who is best known for creating textural electronic music, which combines an array of influences from post-rock, techno, ambient and afrobeat inspired genres.

Warm up founder Aidan Doherty will be providing support, well known for exploring a wide range of techno from dark and progressive, to uplifting and melodic Doherty is definitly someone worth watching.
